Dear Reader,
With this year’s catalogue we are pleased to present to you a wide array of new book titles in the field of history.
Our program’s focus on research relating to early German history is not only strengthened by the completion of the 35 volume Reallexikon der Germanischen Altertumskunde, but also by seven new titles in the corresponding series of supplementary volumes (see pp. 4–7).
Furthermore, we would like to announce the launch of a third installment of the renowned Germania Sacra series, now edited by the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen. The first volume of the series deals with the history of the dioceses of the church province of Cologne within the framework of the church history of the old Holy Roman Empire (see p. 10).
A highly recommended reference work on one of the most debated research topics of contemporary history is the Handbuch des Antisemitismus [Handbook of Anti-Semitism] (see p. 37). We would also like to draw your attention to the Theodor Heuss Edition, which we were able to supplement with two volumes of letters, the first covering the years 1892–1917 and the second the years 1933–1945 (see p. 23).
Finally, it is with great pleasure that we announce Volume I of the three-volume Handbuch für preußische Geschichte [Handbook of Prussian History]. With its publication the reference work is now complete (see p. 36). The collection of Constitutional Documents of the United States of America 1776–1860 (see p. 29) has now also been completed.
On behalf of the entire editorial staff we wish you interesting discoveries in our catalogue of new books, on our website (www.degruyter.de) and on our new eProduct platform (www.reference-global.com)!
Yours sincerely,
Barbara Fischer
