Immanuel Kant bei Walter de Gruyter
Im weitgefächerten Philosophie-Programm des Hauses de Gruyter nimmt das Werk Immanuel Kants einen zentralen Platz ein. Zwischen Aristoteles, der Philosophie der Antike und der Philosophie des 20. Jahrhunderts strahlt das Werk des großen Philosophen über das Weltgebäude der Philosophie und seiner Wirkungsgeschichte und prägt auch Geschichte und Gegenwart unseres Verlages.
Die Akademie-Ausgabe zu Kants gesammelten Schriften feierte im Jahr 2000 ihr 100jähriges Bestehen und steht kurz vor ihrem Abschluss. Im Jahr 1900 erschien der erste Band der umfassenden Kant-Ausgabe der Königlichen Preußischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Mit der Akademie-Ausgabe, den Kant-Studien und weiteren zahlreichen Kant-Veröffentlichungen gilt der de Gruyter Verlag in der ganzen Welt als die zentrale Adresse für die Kantliteratur.
Ohne Kant und sein Werk wird auch weiterhin kaum eine sinnvolle historische wie systematische Beschäftigung mit der Philosophie möglich sein. Und so will der Verlag das Werk Kants weiterhin dafür bereit halten und auch künftig ein weltweit offenes Forum für die Auseinandersetzung und Forschung zu und mit diesem überragenden Werk bieten.
