In the year 2000, the Akademie Edition of Kant's Collected Writings celebrated its centennial anniversary. The first volume of the extensive Kant edition of the Königlichen Preußischen Akademie der Wissenschaften was published in 1900. With the Akademie Edition, the journal Kant-Studien and numerous other publications on Kant’s philosophy, de Gruyter publishers is known throughout the whole world as the first address for Kant publications.
Without Kant and his writings, a fruitful historical and systematic study of philosophy is not possible. Therefore, de Gruyter will continue to publish Kant’s work and to offer an international forum for the study and research of and with this outstanding oeuvre.
