Library Advisory Board
The De Gruyter Library Advisory Board is an international panel of librarians supporting the De Gruyter management with their expertise, advice, and insight in all areas of mutual interest. Working with this board, De Gruyter utilizes a new form of communication in order to discover more about the needs and wishes of customers in the library world and to orientate itself thereon.
The board members are important contact people and customers from large national and university libraries as well as small highly specialized institute libraries. A significant criterion for selection was their knowledge and use of the publishing group’s products. Board meetings are held regularly to coincide with large international events such as the London Book Fair, the Deutscher Bibliothekartag (Convention of German Librarians) or American Library Association Conferences.
“Advice from a board like this offers a unique opportunity to strategically tailor our high-quality products and services even more to the changing needs of the end user. Who knows better than librarians what content students, faculties and researchers will expect in future and in which form they will want to have it.”
Dr. Sven Fund, Managing Director De Gruyter
