De Gruyter Electronic Series
Make the Switch: De Gruyter Electronic Series
De Gruyter gives subscribers the favorable opportunity to convert ongoing series and multi-volume serial works from print to online or to supplement them electronically.
This offer applies to all current De Gruyter series such as the Arbeiten zur neutestamentlichen Textforschung [Studies on New Testament Textual Research] and Kantstudien-Ergänzungshefte [Kant Studies Supplement Issues] and to as yet uncompleted multi-volume works such as The Collected Works of Edward Sapir and the Enzyklopädie des Märchens [Encyclopedia of the Folk Tale].
Customers who switch subscriptions from print series to eBooks or print + eBook bundles now have the one-time opportunity to obtain the electronic versions of the past volumes published. The respective eBooks can be acquired retrospectively in 5-year increments at a 30% discount. It is not possible to offset payment against previously purchased volumes in electronic format.
For the volumes of series and the multi-volume works that are scheduled to appear in the future, the principle of 1:1 pricing between print and eBook versions is applied. The price for the print + eBook bundles is approximately 140% of the print price.
Booksellers are granted the usual conditions for the sale of eBooks.
Libraries can benefit from this conversion in many ways. In addition to saving space, avoiding replacement costs for lost or damaged copies, and simplifying business procedures, the electronic versions of De Gruyter series and multi-volume works give users all the advantages of online access:
- Immediate availability of content, whenever and wherever needed (24/7, remote access)
- Both simple and advanced search options on the De Gruyter online platform, including full-text search
- Download of bibliographical data for use in literature and citation software
