MARC record
MARC record for eBook"The book is excellent, and this is a minor miracle, considering what a stream of useless encyclopedias has flooded our market in recent years."
Anatoly Liberman in: Journal of English and Germanic Philology, Oktober 2008
"In zehn flüssig lesbaren Kapiteln mit zahlreichen Abbildungen und übersichtlichen Tabellen zeigt sich, dass die Altnordistik, die viele für verstaubt und unzugänglich halten, modern präsentiert und jedem erschlossen werden kann."
Werner Schäfke in: norrona 23/2008
"This book is to be recommended to those looking for a general introduction to the field of Old Norse studies, as well as to students of particular aspects of that field who would like to know what others in closely related disciplines do. It is clearly and concisely presented, does not espouse theories outlandish or otherwise inappropriate for beginners, and never strays far from the original sources, which are, after all, the point."
Brendan N. Wolfe in: Linguist List 19.2106
