Aims and Scope
The periodical Microform & Digitization Review provides continuous reporting on projects and technical developments in document conservation in libraries and archives. Microforms play a large role in this. Subjects such as quality control in microfilming, reports on new and completed projects in the microfilming of valuable collections and practical tips for managing microform collections help librarians and archivists in their work. With the introduction of new technologies to the field of document preservation, digitalization has also become a central issue. Microform & Digitization Review gives in-depth coverage of this development too and treats both the practical and theoretical aspects of this method of preservation. In the "Comments and News" section there are reports on new collections, initiatives and specialist publications.
Microform & Digitization Review is now Preservation, Digital Technology & Culture, taking into account the stronger focus on digitization issues involving multiple types of cultural heritage institutions: http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/pdtc
