Where can I find what I'm looking for?

Where do I find the e-publications on De Gruyter Online? (eBooks, eJournals and databases)?

Browse and search functions are focused on titles, articles, database entries, and book chapters, not on formats. So you will find a title or a document first and then, when you are looking at the title information, see at one simple glance in which formats it is available.

Where do I find series and multi-volumed work overviews?

You can browse for the product types „series“ and „multi-volumed works“ or search for them with the help of the advanced search functionality. Otherwise, type in the title of a series or a multi-volumed work into the quick search. Apart from that, you will find a complete series or multi-volumed work overview on title display pages for titles that are part of either a series or a multi-volumed work.

Are booksellers able to purchase electronic content for their customers?

Surely we offer electronic products to our trade customers. However, the current options for integrating our backend systems for customer data and deliveries will unfortunately not yet permit booksellers to purchase electronic products for individual customers and hand out individual access rights directly to them. We will regard this for further developments.

Is it possible to make standing orders and subscriptions via the webshop?

Standing orders for book series and multi-volumned works will not be available through our webshop. However, since September 2012, customers can purchase journals subscriptions through the webshop.

Do personal user accounts provide complete order histories and electronic archives for invoices?

No, sorry, but personal user accounts do not yet provide these archiving functions. We will regard them for further developments.

Is it possible to be invoiced in GBP?

We offer invoicing in Pounds Sterling for all books, journals, and databases from the De Gruyter Group. Products we distribute on behalf of our partner publishers are also included.

Where do I find the GBP pricing?

For all publications, you will find the pricing in GBP on the homepage of each product. Our price lists for journals, yearbooks and databases will continue to be available in Euros and US Dollars only.

How do I switch to an invoicing procedure in Pounds Sterling?

Please contact our distribution centre HGV Hanseatische Gesellschaft für Verlagsservice mbH at orders [at] degruyter.com or add a comment on your next order. A competitive exchange rate will be applied, and will be revised should any larger rate movements make this necessary. Please note: Once the invoicing currency has been changed to Pounds Sterling, it is not possible to convert it back to Euros.
