De Gruyter Oldenbourg / Akademie Verlag

Oldenbourg Wissenschaftsverlag and Akademie Verlag now part of De Gruyter

It is our pleasure to announce two important acquisitions: Effective retroactively to the beginning of the year, De Gruyter has acquired Akademie Verlag, based in Berlin, and Oldenbourg Wissenschaftsverlag, based in Munich.

Of course, all titles will remain available without any restrictions. Both brands will be maintained, and we will actively strive to enhance their publishing portfolios. The publications released by Akademie Verlag and De Gruyter Oldenbourg in history, philosophy, and several branches of the natural sciences have traditionally played an important role in their respective fields, and in the period ahead we will continue to expand our digital offerings, building on the success we have enjoyed in this area in recent years.

Our library customers and trade partners can download our sales flyer with all information at a glance.

Please find the FAQ for authors in the flyer available for download.
