Archives of Acoustics was founded in 1976 as an international journal, however its early international distribution was limited. Since 2004 it provides free internet access to abstracts of all research papers published from 1991 and to the full content of volumes published in years 2000–2008. Since 2003, in addition to original research papers and their abstracts, the Journal has been publishing full abstracts of papers presented at specialized international acoustical conferences organized regularly in Poland. Selected volumes contain abstracts from the following such meetings:
- International Conference “Noise-Control”;
- International Symposium on Sound Engineering and Tonmeistering;
- International Conference on Subjective and Objective Sound Assessment;
- Speech Analysis, Synthesis, and Recognition – International symposium;
- Winter School of Wave and Quantum Acoustics;
- Winter School of Vibroacoustical Hazards Suppresion;
- Acoustical and Biomedical Engineering –- International Symposium;
- Symposium on Hydroacoustics –- either international, or (every second year) Polish with international participation;
- Open Seminar on Acoustics (OSA) –- all-acoustics Polish symposium with international participation.
Aims and Scope
Why subscribe and read
Archives of Acoustics is an English-language peer-reviewed quarterly journal, publishing original research papers from all areas of acoustics and abstracts from some specialised acoustical conferences. It gives free internet access to its full content in years 2000-2008 and limited access (abstracts of research papers) to current issues and to earlier volumes from the year 1991.
Why submit
Archives of Acoustics, the peer-reviewed quarterly journal publishes original research papers of experts in the field, promoting insightful understanding of the state-of-the-art and engineering trends. Papers reporting original research from all parts of the world are welcome. Archives of Acoustics is the place for exchange of information and research results within the following scope:
- physiological acoustics,
- psychoacoustics,
- speech production and perception,
- speech processing and communication systems,
- acoustics of musics,
- bioacoustics,
- architectural, building and environmental acoustics,
- noise and vibration,
- acoustical measurements and instrumentation,
- electroacoustics,
- transducers,
- linear and nonlinear acoustics,
- ultrasonics,
- underwater acoustics,
- quantum acoustics,
- physical and chemical effects of sound,
