Im Mittelpunkt des „Informations- und Mediennetzwerks der Medienzentren und Schulen im Lahn-Dill-Kreis“ (IMeNS) steht eine kontinuierliche Medienbildung für alle Schüler/innen entlang der gesamten Schullaufbahn – mit nur einem Ausweis und allen Medienarten. Der Lahn-Dill-Kreis hat dieses Schulträgernetz zur professionellen Unterstützung seiner Schulbibliotheken und Medienzentren aufgebaut. Heute ist es ein festes Fundament für effektive Schulbibliotheksarbeit, Informationsdienstleistungen und Medienangebote im Landkreis.

The focus of “IMeNS” is a continuous media education for all students throughout the entire school career–with just one library card and all types of media. The Lahn-Dill-Kreis has developed this network for professional support of its school libraries and media centres. Today it is a solid foundation for effective school library work, information and media services in the county.
