Agronomical Research in Moldavia is a quarterly journal and publishes original, theoretic, experimental and technical studies on research activities carried out by the research agricultural stations and high agronomic education. Articles are written in English. The goal of the journal is to spread in Romania and abroad the results of the agricultural scientific research carried out in Romania and in other countries.

Focus

The journal was founded on 2nd December 1967, at Iaşi. It has begun its activity in 1968 within the Agricultural Research Station of Podu-Iloaiei, Iaşi County, in co-operation with the research stations from Moldavia and the Agronomical Institute of Iaşi (today, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi).

Since 2006, Cercetări Agronomice în Moldova (Agronomical Research in Moldavia) is being published under the aegis of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi, at the "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" Publishing House. The journal tries to cover all the aspects concerning the agricultural research and to apply the scientific results into practice.

Peer Review Process

The journal editor evaluates papers submitted to the journal, and determines if the paper is suitable and appropriate for the journal.

After editorial examining, if are considered and recommended before publish, the papers are sent for peer review to two independent reviewers, which therefore takes the form of a technical advice to the editor. For major revisions, the editor could return the article to the authors for improvement.

Following review, articles are accompanied with suggestions and recommendations for improvement, respectively for revision before final acceptance.

The authors should revise the manuscript in accordance with the referee's opinions as soon as possible. If the manuscript with reviewers' track changes comments was sent to them, it should be returned along with revised manuscript.

The authors can disagree with the reviewer's opinion but they should reason their own opinion in a written separately form.

Editors will consider authors' opinions carefully but they are not obliged to accept their objections. In all cases, the Editor will take the final decision.

This reviewing process may last between 1 and 3 months.

Author's guidelines

When editing a paper, a set of requirements had to be fulfilled. The scientific papers will be sent after following a minimum amount of formatting rules (bold, italic, superscript, subscript) and, afterwards, the papers will be revised and formatted for the final version within the editorial office (in cadrul redactiei) / by the editorial staff (de catre membrii redactiei).

Page Format: Custom Size (16,8 x 24 cm);
Margins: Top 2 cm; Bottom 1,5 cm; Left 2 cm; Right 2 cm, Header 2 cm, Footer 1 cm.
Space between rows: one row, along the whole document.
Numbering the pages isn't necessary (There is no need to number the pages). The articles will be written in Romanian and English. The editorial team (editorial staff) recommends that the final version of the translation in English to be verified by a translator authorized in that specific field.

THE TITLE will refer strictly to the content. It will be written in Romanian and English, in capitalized Times New Roman style (TNR), 14, Bold, Center (followed by a blank row).

NAME OF THE AUTHOR / AUTHORS
The authors: TNR 10, Center, Bold (followed by a blank row). For the authors, a footnote has to be inserted, containing an e-mail address.
The name of the institution: TNR 10, Italic, Center (followed by a blank row).

THE ABSTRACT will be written in Romanian and English: TNR, 9.5, Bold, Align Left (followed by a blank row). It will be edited in a single paragraph, without using the "Tab" key and it must comprise about 200 - 250 words. The abstract has to be brief, concise and synthetic; it will begin with a clear enunciation of the paper's goal, it will continue with a brief presentation of the working methods used, then it will point out the important results of the paper and it will be ended with the highlight of the main conclusions. The abstract will not include reference sources.
Key-words: they are mandatory, a maximum of 5 words (in Romanian and English). Arial, 9, Bold (followed by a blank row).

When writing a paper, the following successive chapters must be included:

INTRODUCTION;
MATERIALS AND METHODS;
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION;
CONCLUSIONS;
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS;
REFERENCES.
INTRODUCTION; MATERIALS AND METHODS; RESULTS AND DISCUSSION; CONCLUSIONS:
Title: Capitalization, Arial, 11, Bold, Center;
Text: TNR, 11, Justify, First line - 0,8 cm, Line spacing - Single.
The text from "MATERIAL AND METHOD" will be written with TNR, 10, Justify, First line - 0,8 cm, Line spacing - Single.

THE INTRODUCTION
It will not exceed 1500 characters, including spaces. It will synthetically present the necessity of the reseach, arguing in terms of their scientific opportunity. Also, any reference data from the scientific informational flow should be quoted within.

MATERIALS AND METHODS
It is recommended to include in the paper those data that were achieved using methods which comply with all biological, analytical and statistical techniques. If the data are issued from the usage of some new methods or from others that supposed modifications of the standard procedures, they must be mentioned. There will be also specified the conditions existing during data sampling, measurements and statistical models, all clearly and briefly described.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (The RESULTS can be presented together with or apart from the DISCUSSION)
It is recommended to use tables as presentation form of the results. In order to allow the reader to correctly interpret the data, the presentation of the significant results must be associated with any information concerning the kind and volume of the original data and, when necessary and appropriate, the data might be related to other results in various reference sources of the scientific field.

DISCUSSION (in case they are presented apart from the RESULTS)
They should strictly refer to the scientific results interpretation. In order to enhance the quality of the scientific work, there has to be made a comparative analysis with other results in the national and international references. The resumption of any previously presented results should be avoided.

The Tables will be numbered as they appear in the paper. Abbreviations used in the table should be explained in footnotes (numbered), placed just under the table, so as the table should be interpreted separately from the text.

Tables: table number: Arial 9, Align Left; table title: Arial, 9, Table text: Arial, 9.
Figures: Arial, 9, Center (number and title).
Non-textual elements (figures, schematics, photos) will be numbered in the order in which they appear in the paper.
Legend and other explanations will be written below.

CONCLUSIONS
When writing the CONCLUSIONS, it is not recommended to resume data previously specified in text, tables, figures or schematics.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (in case that the scientific papers have been prepared based on research funded from various research grants or other situations)

REFERENCES
Title: Arial, 10, Center, capitalized;
Text: Arial 9.
It is recommended to all the authors to use as complete and recent as possible bibliographical references, and, if possible, quoted from ISI or international databases indexed papers. The references will be alphabetically ordered by first author's last name and they will not be numbered. In the text, the entry of bibliographic sources will be done using the reference number preceding each title in the bibliography.
