The publication focuses on problems of aeronautical fatigue and structural integrity. The preferred topics include:

  • full-scale fatigue testing of aircraft and aircraft structural components,
  • fatigue of materials and structures,
  • advanced materials and innovative structural concepts,
  • damage tolerant design of aircraft structure,
  • life extension and management of ageing fleets,
  • structural health monitoring and loads,
  • fatigue crack growth and life prediction methods,
  • NDT inspections,
  • airworthiness considerations.

Because, it gives information on recent works from the area of fatigue of aircraft structures. A lot of works are presented by domestic and worldwide researchers.

Instructions for Authors

Instructions for Authors

All submissions must be an original work in English. We prefer submissions via email.

The structure of the published paper is, as follows:

  • the work title,
  • names of authors, their academic titles, affiliations, e-mail addresses,
  • key words,
  • work abstract,
  • introduction, containing the work object and purpose, the research and analytical      methods, etc.

and at the end of the paper:

  • summary of the work,
  • references.

Technical parameters

  • recommended text editor: Microsoft Word 2007,
  • format for the publication manuscript – A-4, margins 25 mm, single column text,
  • Times New Roman font, size 12 pt – recommended,
  • document should not contain author’s formatting, one should only select paragraphs, automatic update of the content of the document should be excluded,
  • mathematical formulas, equations, etc. must be created in Microsoft Word Equation Editor or the Design Science „Mathtype” editor, font size 12 pt
  • illustrations are to be legible (able to be reduced or enlarged), font and font size on all illustrations should be of the same type,.
    illustrations may be embedded in the document, but it is desirable to enclose them in a separate graphic file with a resolution at least 300 dpi for the final format of illustrations,
  • for low resolution digital photo’s files attached to manuscript is desirable to add photo originals to scan them in a publishing office - which will increase the quality of publication, materials will be returned to the author,
  • if drawings or photographs copyrights are not owned by the author, indicate the source and permission to publish them.

Submission

Manuscript should be submitted in MS Word format together with PDF sample via email to the Editor of Fatigue of Aircraft Structures, Antoni Niepokólczycki, at antoni.niepokolczycki@ilot.edu.pl and to the Managing Editor, Agata Chrzanowska, at agata.chrzanowska@ilot.edu.pl.
