Zusammenfassung
In diesem International Report wird die Situation der katholischen Pastoraltheologie in Polen vorgestellt, reflektiert und schließlich als sich „auf einem guten Weg” befindend resümiert. Zu Beginn stehen Darstellungen der historischen Entwicklung des Faches in der Zeit nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, denen sich Ausführungen über die gegenwärtige institutionelle Verfasstheit der Disziplin in der polnischen theologischen Landschaft anschließen. Auf Lehrstühle wird ebenso eingegangen wie auf Forscherkreise und Publikationsorgane. Am Ende werden zwei aktuelle Theoriedebatten aufgegriffen: zum einen die Frage der Nomenklatur der Disziplin – Pastoraltheologie oder Praktische Theologie –, zum anderen die Frage nach einer angemessenen Methode. Immer wieder wird dabei auf die besondere Bedeutung der katholischen Kirche für das Land Polen gerade in den Zeiten der kommunistischen Herrschaft hingewiesen.
Abstract
In this International Report the situation of Roman Catholic pastoral theology in Poland is described, reflected upon and summed up, in conclusion, as finding itself “on a good course”. The article begins by describing the historical development of the field after the Second World War with regard to its insitutional relations within the Polish theological scene, focussing on chairs as well as on researchers' circles and scientific publications. In the second half of the article, two current theoretical debates are taken up: on the one hand, the question of the nomenclature of the discipline – pastoral theology or practical theology – on the other hand, the question of an adequate method. The article stresses throughout the significance of the Roman Catholic church within Polish society, especially during the period of Communist rule.
