Aims and Scope
The journal aims at providing a critical scientific forum for the presentation of research pertaining to the history and culture of the Islamic world in both pre-modern and modern times. Der Islam encourages the exchange of ideas from all scholarly perspectives and is not committed to any particular methodological or ideological viewpoint. The contributions reflect the most current state of research on Islam.

Please send all manuscripts, correspondence, and review copies directly to the editorial office. The editors request that manuscripts for publication in 'Der Islam' only be sent to the editorial office after an agreement in writing has been reached with the editor. All other correspondence (business, requests, and orders) should be sent to the publisher. The responsibility for contributions rests solely with the authors.
