Journal of Apicultural Science is a scientific journal intended to publish in English original papers in the field of the broad-sense beekeeping science dealing with the following subjects: breeding and genetics, biology, technology, diseases, pollination, pollination insects, technology and chemistry of bee products.

The Journal of Apicultural Science is the only one scientific magazine issued in Poland and already recognized in Europe publishing original research papers in the field related to apidology.
Journal gives the chance to disseminate the results of research conducted in Poland and abroad.
Journal is the continuation of former scientific journal Pszczelnicze Zeszyty Naukowe published since 1957, and since 2001 is published twice a year in English under the name of the Journal of Apicultural Science.
Submission of a paper implies that it reports original unpublished work, that has not been accepted and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Journal of Apicultural Science is a scientific journal intended to publish original research articles and review papers on all aspects of the life of bees (superfamily Apoidea) and broadly defined apiculture. The main issues include biology, physiology, general and molecular genetics, bee breeding, pathology and toxicology, pollination, bee botany, bee products, management, technology, economy, as well as solitary bees and bumblebees.
Journal of Apicultural Science is published two times a year both as a standard printed journal and online. The electronic version is published by Versita (www.degruyter.com/view/j/jas) in the open access model. After the acceptance, the article is given the DOI number and published online as PDF file available on the Journal's webpages www.jas.org.pl, www.degruyter.com/view/j/jas. Two times a year, in June and December, the articles are assigned to successive volumes and issues.
Copyright of published papers is held by the Research Institute of Horticulture, Apiculture Division and the Apicultural Research Association.
Submission of manuscripts
- Submission of a paper implies that it reports own, original, unpublished work (except in the form of an abstract), as well as that it has not been accepted and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere in whole or in part.
- All authors must have read the manuscript and it is understood that they have agreed to its submission.
