Globalization and Nationalism in Latin America, c.1750-1950

The relationship between globalization and nationalism in Latin America is neither linear nor purely dialectical; in fact, it provides an almost ideal portrait of the periodic blurring of the two over time. This article traces the relationship since the late 18th century into the present day.
