The journal publishes original research articles, short communications, reviews and book reviews. The journal has 4 issues per year and contains papers on all aspects of the marine environment and hydrobiology. All manuscripts are reviewed by editors and independent experts. Based on the referees' recommendations, the Editor will make a decision on whether to accept a contribution. All articles are published in English.

About the Journal

Why subscribe and read

The Journal publishes high-quality articles by scientists from all around the world, and is devoted to topics concerning the water environment, both freshwater and saltwater.

The target readers are all scientists researching the water environment irrespective of their scientific degree, experience or individual area of interest.

The objective pursued by the Journal is to collect and publish in one medium the findings of worldwide studies on various types of water environment and climatic conditions. This will facilitate comparison of the studies and, in the long run, will help establish contacts and close co-operation between scientists with similar areas of interest.

Why submit

The journal is open to all matters concerning the water environment, thus providing the readers with a wide spectrum of topics in every issue.

Articles written by both fledgling and experienced scientists will be published so that their individual work is mutually complemented, and to give the readers a sound basis for comparison of different takes on a given matter.

The Journal is open to young scientists with a fresh or polemical outlook on a given subject matter, envisages providing them with substantive support, and to juxtapose their knowledge and experience with scientifically mature publications written by acclaimed specialists.
