“Ruch Literacki” is a peer-reviewed bi-monthly periodical dedicated to the study of literature. Since its foundation in 1926 it has been a highly regarded academic journal in the field of Polish literature. Its list of contents includes discussions, analyses and articles ranging from history of literature through comparative studies to literary theory, as well as book reviews and conference reports. “Ruch Literacki” publishes the work of the best scholars from all Polish research centres and from abroad.

Editorial Policy

Journal decision-making

Each text submitted for publication in “Ruch Literacki” is sent by the Editors for peer review. In their assessment the reviewers, outstanding specialists in their field, take into account the work’s overall academic merit, its innovatory character and the new insights it brings into the study of a particular issue, its reliability and integrity, and its compliance with the profile of the journal. The written reviews, which are confidential, end with an unequivocal clearance for publication or a rejection (in exceptional cases the reviewer’s critical comments are passed on to the Author; the revised text is subject to another round of review and clearance procedures. 

Instructions for Authors

Manuscrips should be submitted in paper and electronic (CD) formats to the Editors. Please include the Author’s affiliation, address for correspondence (as well as email address), and a short summary with key words (that applies to contributions to the Voices section as well). While editing your reference notes please follow the “Ruch Literacki” guidelines. A submission of an article to is tantamount to a permission for its publication in paper and electronic format.
Material that has not been commissioned will not be returned to the Authors.
