The journal Studia Geomorphologica Carpatho-Balcanica  publishes original papers focusing on geomorphological problems of mountains areas, particularly on the Carpatho-Balkan-Dynaric system. This is an annual set journal published since 1967. In period 1967-2012 it was published by Commission of Geographical Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences, Cracow Branch. Since 2012 journal is published by Geographical Commission of Polish Academy of Sciences and Arts and S. Leszczycki Institute of Geography and Spatial Organisation Polish Academy of Sciences. It is simultaneously an organ of the Geomorphologic Carpathian-Balkan Commission. The Commission associates geomorphologists from Central Europe.

Aims and Scope

Studia Geomorphologica Carpatho-Balcanica is an international journal publishing original research articles presenting the results of studies carried out in mountains regions. Journal is:

  • A source of high quality research in geomorphology from the Carpathians, the Balkan, the Dinaric Mts and the others mountains in the world,
  • An international forum for the dissemination of research data in geomorphology, designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas between researchers from different countries,
  • A source of the latest news, achievements and research inspirations from full scope of problems of mountain geomorphology.
