Abstract

The article contains the first edition of a short version of the 4th ps.-chrysostomic homily (PG 56, 576-582). Often the excerptor shortens the text that can be found in PG, but sometimes even additions or slight modifications can be observed due to a today unknown longer version of this homily or to the re-thinking of the excerptor himself.
