[Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry]
Series:De Gruyter Studium
- Lab course reflects the increasingly important role of inorganic synthesis
- Review of all the important basic preparative techniques in inorganic synthesis
- Over 80 selected inorganic compounds
Aims and Scope
This laboratory manual offers a broad introduction to the synthetic methods of inorganic chemistry. Solid state reactions and metallurgical processes, as well as the synthesis of coordination compounds, polyoxometallates, colloid systems and porous solids are included. With the help of over 80 selected compounds the book introduces the chemistry student to a wide range of basic preparative techniques such as synthesis between -15° and 2000 °C, reactions in the solid state, solution, melt and gas, and simple characterization methods of the products obtained.
