Aims and Scope
Fascicle IG II/III³ 1, 2 contains 275 laws and decrees from the years between 352/1 BC and the end of the Lamian War in 322/1. They provide an authentic picture of Athenian politics and its protagonists before Athens’ defeat at the Battle of Chaironeia (338), in the “Age of Lycurgus” that followed, and the final years until the capitulation of the city to Antipater and the end of its independence. There is an index to the inscriptions, and where preserved these are illustrated with photographs.
