Vom Denken der Natur zur Natur des Denkens
Ibn Baggas Theorie der Potenz als Grundlegung der Psychologie
[From Thinking Nature to the Nature of Thinking]
Series:Scientia Graeco-Arabica
Aims and Scope
The present study relies on a greatly improved re-edited text of Ibn Bāğğa’s (d. 1139) commentary on De anima, Kitāb al-nafs. Here, the author shows that in keeping with the Aristotelian model, Ibn Bāğğa conceptualizes psychology as a natural science, but at the same time, ultimately turns his understanding of natural science into fundamental science.
