    Handbook of Japanese Psycholinguistics

    Ed. by Nakayama, Mineharu

Series:Handbooks of Japanese Language and Linguistics

      Aims and Scope

Studies of Japanese language and linguistics have advanced quite significantly in the last half century due to progress in the study of the cognitive processes and brain mechanisms underlying language use, language acquisition, and language disorders. Thanks to technological developments, experimental techniques employed in psycholinguistic studies have also advanced and a large body of new knowledge has accumulated. The current volume brings these state-of-art findings together and discusses our brain functions, in particular, the process of Japanese language acquisition and the mechanism of Japanese language perception and production.

Mineharu Nakayama, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
