Aims and Scope
The revised edition 2011 of the law of service contracts in the Staudinger is presented in three volumes. In addition to commentary on the diverse types of service contracts, the overall context of employment contract law is systematically presented by means of comprehensive assessment of current legal literature and up-to-date case law. Particular attention should be drawn to the unique overview of collective employment law. Topics of particular relevance for the legal practice are extensively explained such as the monitoring of general terms and conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen, AGBs) which continues to gain in importance in the case law of the Federal Labor Court (Bundesarbeitsgericht, BAG), current legal aspects of data protection (including Lidl, Deutsche Post) and specific questions regarding the protective scope of the General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG). Commentary on provision 613a (Transfer of Business) of the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, BGB) is comprehensively presented taking into account current developments.
