Hermann Parzinger is President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin, before that he was President of the German Archeological Institute. As prehistorian, his main area of research is the culture of the Scythians, and he was Founding Director of the Eurasian Department of the German Archeological Institute.
Bernd Seidensticker is Professor Emeritus of Classical Philology at the Free University of Berlin. He is Chairman of the Commission for Classical Studies of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
