De Gruyter is proud to announce that it is making figures and graphics from textbooks freely available for download at De Gruyter Online. This service will be standard for all newly published front-list textbooks, and also applies, effective immediately, to all titles published since January 2014. Additional materials will be available for select titles.
"With this service, De Gruyter is addressing the rising demands placed on teachers," says Dr. Sven Fund, Managing Director of De Gruyter. "This beneficial feature means users no longer need to scan and manually edit figures and graphics from textbooks."
Figures and graphics from a specific title can be downloaded as a PowerPoint presentation that contains the original figure captions as well as correct source information. The user is free to rearrange or delete the slides contained in the download.
See "Biomedical Technology – Inspiration, Introduction, Overview" for an example of the extensive collection of figures and graphics on offer.
