This Special Issue in Open Computer Science is open to all authors interested in the topic. However, in a great part it is devoted to the publication of high-quality research papers presented during the 3rd International Conference on Cyber-Society and Smart Computing – Communication (CYBER 2018), Kuta-Bali-Indonesia, Indonesia, 6-7 October 2018 and the 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends on Smart Systems, Application and  Technologies (RT-SMART 2018), Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 24-25 November 2018.

The culture of computer and network – mediated communication is growing both in size and sophistication. Cyberspace is the new frontier where new worlds, meanings and values are developed. Cyber-Society focuses on the construction, maintenance and mediation of community in electronic networks and Smart Computing – communication. Leading scholars, representing the range of disciplines involved in the study of cyberculture, lay out the definitions, boundaries and approaches to the field, as they focus on the social relations that computer-mediated communication engenders. The future of Cyber-Society will align with the Smart computing and Technology which will be not only as tools but already part of the way of life in Digital Wave Generation.
