International Conference “Natural Hazards – Lessons from the Past and Contemporary Challenges”

DESCRIPTION

The International Conference “Natural Hazards – Lessons from the Past and Contemporary Challenges” took place in October 2018 in Novi Sad (Serbia).

Natural hazards – their identification, assessment and prevention, as well as risk management – are tightly related to natural and anthropogenic systems. The conference was designed to gather experts and members of professional societies from this research area in order to stimulate new ideas and their incorporation into lifelong quest to make society safer. Academics, students, officials, mangers and general public were invited to participate in this conference.

The International Conference “Natural Hazards – Lessons from the Past and Contemporary Challenges” was supported by De Gruyter, an academic publisher offering wide range of Open Access journals. All participants presenting original researches or reviews are welcome to publish their works in the Special Issue of Open Geosciences

GUEST EDITORS

The Guest Editors of this Special Issue are: Prof. Slobodan Marković, Dr. Tin Lukić and Prof. Milivoj Gavrilov.

HOW TO SUBMIT

All manuscripts (research and review papers) should be submitted online at https://www.editorialmanager.com/opengeo/default.aspx.

The online paper processing system provides a track dedicated to this Special Issue – please make sure that the option “Natural Hazards 2018” is selected when you submit your manuscript. Open Geosciences ensures that all submitted papers will be considered by the editor and will go through peer-review process as any other paper. Accepted articles will be indexed, abstracted and published.
