Special Issue ESC2018 - The 36th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission

The 36th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission (GA ESC) was organized in September 2018 in Valletta (Malta). This annual assembly was addressed to all academics and researchers working in the field of seismology and related applications. The Assembly is primarily a meeting ground for these among seismologists, geologists and engineers dealing with applied and social aspects of seismology.  Earthquake hazard and risk, earthquake engineering, education along with risk prevention they were among the main topics of the gathering that took place. The 36th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission (GA ESC) was supported this year by De Gruyter, an academic publisher with a wide range of Open Access journals.

Our online paper processing system provide a track dedicated to this special issue. Please make sure that the option “ESC2018” is selected when you submit manuscript. Open Geoscience ensures that all submitted papers will be considered by the editor and will go through peer-review stage as other papers. Accepted articles will be then indexed, abstracted and published.
Deadline for the submission is December 31st, 2018. Once paper is accepted for publication, authors will be asked to cover Article Processing Charges (APC). For this special issue APC was reduced by 50% (APC = 500 EUR). Researches with limited access to funding but who would like to submit manuscript should contact Managing Editor.
