DESCRIPTION

This special issue of Optical Data Processing and Storage gathers insightful review and new research papers on Optics, Photonics and Materials. The scope encompasses both fundamental methods as well as applications in order to explore and to promote the multidisciplinary interactions between the fields of optics and materials, ranging from bio-photonics, nonlinear optics, interferometry, meta and structured surface, new materials, advanced optical techniques, adaptive optics, ultrafast phenomena. Of particular interest are the topics of Soft Matter, Nonlinear Optics, Optical Metrology and Bio-photonics including but not limited to:

Light-activated materials

Biosensors and light interactions in biological media

Optical fibers sensors

Ultrafast phenomena

Adaptive optics, phase imaging and microscopy

Liquid crystals optics and technology

Complex structures and defects

Disorder and light scattering, coherent control of light

Nonlinear waveguides and photo-induced effects

Organic photonics materials

Metamaterials and metasurfaces

Acousto-optics and Brillouin effect

Interferometry and slow-light

Participants of the Nice Optics 2016, 1st International Conference on Optics, Photonics and Materials in Nice, France, are invited to submit results presented at the conference. Submissions should follow the guidelines of Optical Data Processing and Storage, which can be found at www.degruyter.com/view/j/odps.

HOW TO SUBMIT

The authors are kindly invited to submit their manuscripts by email to Coordinating Editor (Stefania.Residori@inln.cnrs.fr) or to Journal Editor (odps.editorial@degruyteropen.com). All papers will go through the journal’s high standards, quick, fair and comprehensive peer-review procedure. Instructions for authors are available on the journal website. In case of any questions please contact Coordinating Editor or Journal Editor.
