The Gütersloh journal portfolio regards itself as a forum for the scholarly discussion in various theological disciplines.
Since the beginning of the cooperation with De Gruyter in 2014, user are able to access not only current issues, but the complete electronic archives of all Gütersloh journals. Making available and documenting important parts of the history of modern theological publishing.
In 2019, De Gruyter will also make 11 renowned book series from Gütersloh available as ebooks for the first time.

The Gütersloher Verlagshaus has a long-lasting tradition as being a dedicated, open, critical and liberal publishing house with a religious and theological program. It was founded in 1853 and forms he foundation stone of the publishing house Bertelsmann.
Gütersloh is proud of this tradition: be it as a specialized publisher of literature for the church community, as a publisher of academic theological literature as well as publications on religious education, and as being a partner of the church itself.
The Gütersloher Verlagshaus is closely working together on various projects with churches, academies, social institutions and university faculties, actively seeking the dialogue with other confessions and religions and is thereby trend-setting in academic theological publishing.
