Melinda has a degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and almost 30 years’ experience in scholarly communications. She has worked with publishers, universities and research groups – helping them improve the visibility and impact potential for research publications, projects and programmes.

This course would be of value to anyone working in research, particularly to early career researchers, authors of academic papers, post graduate students, as well as all grades of academic staff, and research office staff.

Using academic tools and platforms to their potential
Having looked at why taking a more active role in disseminating your research is becoming more important, we will then examine some of the best ways of improving the visibility of your work through specialist academic tools and platforms.
Broadening your reach with social media
In this section we will cover how to get the best from social media.
By the end of this short course you will be able to:
