Booksellers are authorised to return goods subject to the following rules:
The purchase details (invoice number and date) must be stated along with the return. De Gruyter reserves the right to reject unapproved returns. Returns must be sent carriage paid.
Returns are not accepted for goods which have been invoiced more than 18 months before the return.
Approved and undamaged returns will be credited in full to the Client based on the original purchase price. Damaged but resalable remissions are credited at 25 % of the retail price, unless otherwise specifically agreed. In the case of damaged copies that by De Gruyter’s reasonable judgment cannot be resold, De Gruyter reserves the right not to give a credit. Electronic products can only be remitted in the original packaging (sealed).
Returns must, unless otherwise expressly agreed, be sent to the appropriate representative responsible for your region, as noted below:
