Innovation and Impact: Topical Issue „Start-up: a girl thing”

Girls go start-up” is a unique mentoring programme aiming at Polish start-ups led by women.
The aim of Project is to offer the women active in STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) a support in learning how to create and start-ups. Girls go start-up! Academy is a 6-month long support from highly respected Mentors – women with practical experience in such fields as new technologies, exact science or experts on start-ups. The effect of half-year initiative will be seed-ups (the advanced ideas for businesses) as well as start-ups. Mentoring Program has started in February with workshops on start-ups.
The Special Issue emphasizes the following questions:

  • what are the women's most innovative, creative and surprising business ideas?
  • what would be a typical woman's start-up?
  • how did women revolutionize start-up ecosystem?
  • what are the success stories of young business women ?


To submit an article for Innovation & Impact, please use the on-line submission system choosing as article type: „Girls go start-up”. All articles should be submitted in English. Accepted papers will be published continuously.
Contributors to the Topical Issue will benefit from:
