DESCRIPTION

Different by-products and waste materials are considered of growing interest for certain research groups and industries. The recycling of such kind of materials should be encouraged, always based on scientific and technically sound procedures, thus promoting sustainability. The appropriate use of by-products and waste materials in reclamation of degraded environments is a promising matter of research, with high potential from the environmental and economical points of view. In parallel, or as a complement to it, the study of different by-products and waste materials as biosorbents deserves great attention.

This Topical Issue aim is to increase the knowledge on these fields, with clear application for the scientific community and the society.
