Thoracic malignancies such as lung cancer, mesothelioma and esophageal cancer etc. with high morbidity and mortality, are menacing health problem, which are also extensively focused worldwide.

Advancements have been made to detection, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of thoracic malignancies. However, the detailed pathological basis of thoracic cancers are still needed to decipher, which may provide insights for the development of effective cancer therapies.

Recently, the multidisciplinary approach evolving as potential management of thoracic cancers for screening, early detection and treatment, enables clinicians to provide the optimal care for their thoracic cancer patients.

Thus, all aspects of thoracic oncology, from basic science to patient care, as well as multidisciplinary approach, and including original research (clinical trials and translational or basic research), reviews, and opinion pieces are encouraged, thus contributing crucially to the development of thoracic oncology.
