The complete, unabridged and edited diaries of the Romance philologist Victor Klemperer are available for the first time. From 1918 to 1959, the “cultural historian of the catastrophe” described the process of the Jews’ deprivation of rights and at the same time documented everyday life from the Weimar Republic to the early GDR.

This Online Reference Work brings together all of the volumes of the Deutsches Theater- Lexikon [Encyclopaedia of German Theatre] – the only comprehensive bio-bibliographic encyclopaedia of the world of theatre in German-speaking countries – as an online database. It provides a host of information on every aspect of the stage and comprises meticulously researched contributions on actors, singers, directors, playwrights, theatre managers etc. In addition, it defines significant key words and organisational structures and portrays of outstanding playhouses and venues. It lists the premiere dates and venues for plays, operas and operettas; biographical information about artists; and chronological listings of theatre professionals’ engagements.
The new peer-reviewed reference resource Linguistic Minorities in Europe Online (LME) provides comprehensive documentation of indigenous and immigrant linguistic minorities in Europe. It contains a variety of content and materials.
Approximately 75% of the content will be custom-written for LME, while the remaining 25% will consist of seminal research from De Gruyter’s and De Gruyter Mouton’s archives, carefully selected by the main editors and area editors.
