Present research on cultural education reveals the problems of an overconfident approach to the subject, which leads to a narrow space for engagement and to a reduction of the subject matter. This book, on the other hand, generates friction at the intersections of the concepts of culture and education destabilising both in a way that allows for new lines of thinking. In education, in particular, this also means more than just acquiring competences in cultural circumstances. It collects interdisciplinary perspectives in the field of the concepts of culture and education and in doing so incorporates forms of cultural education in schools and museums as well as in extracurricular places of learning. Through this, culture is seen in a new educational process that prompts both discussion as well as participation.
