Product Information

What is history of architecture and how can it be mediated? How can future architects be interested in the history of architecture in order to locate themselves and determine their own position? This volume discusses the history of architecture in the context of art history, and the relativity of writing histories of architecture is shown through four stories about the Who, What, How, and Why of architecture. This way, Andri Gerber can introduce an adequately structured theory of history - a »meta-history«, which creates knowledge that enables the architect to relate to history in his work.
