Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between medieval art and new technologies, addressing in particular this field of historical patrimony and social networks, the graphic and digital reconstruction of destroyed works, and the dangers of chromatic restoration in sculpture. Likewise, those researchers active prior to the technological revolution are also considered, seen here as precursors of current methodologies. Finally, the specific case of the portal of the Lamb of San Isidoro in León, as well as other cases in the northwestern Spanish peninsular, are analyzed.
