Abstract
This PhD thesis covers multiple approaches for dynamic design of experiments considering safety constraints. Special emphasis is put on the evaluation of these methods at real-world systems in the combustion engine domain.
About the author

Dr.-Ing. Mark Schillinger worked from 2015 to 2018 as a PhD student at Bosch Engineering GmbH in Abstatt, in cooperation with the Chair of Automatic Control – Mechatronics (Prof. O. Nelles) at the University of Siegen, Germany. His main research topics concerned design of experiments and active learning especially for transient modeling tasks. Today he is still with Bosch Engineering GmbH as an engineer for calibration method development. His main areas of work include machine learning and design of experiments.
