The 3nd International Conference on Bioinspired and Biobased Chemistry & Materials will be held in Nice, France, on October 16th to 19th, 2016.

Taking inspiration from nature, we can engineer artificial materials bringing new solutions for industry, environment, medicine and many other fields in a more sustainable way. Bioinspired and Biobased Chemistry & Materials is an emerging field covering materials science, chemistry, physics and biology. It arises from the knowledge of synthesis, directed self-assembly and hierarchical organization of natural materials, and takes advantage of this understanding to engineer new artificial materials and devices for many applications ranging from medical, industrial, military to energy sectors.

The program is organized in 3 sessions: SmartTech, NanoTech and BioTech. SmartTech concerns, among others, stimuli-responsive materials, functional polymers, sensors and renewable energy.

BioTech covers topics about bioadhesiveness / antibioadhesiveness, biofouling, biobased chemicals and materials, green chemistry. NanoTech includes special wettability materials, fluorinated materials, nanocomposites, polymer nanotechnologies, micro and nanofluidics, nanostructured materials and devices. The format includes plenary lectures on significant and multi-disciplinary issues and keynote lectures from speakers of international renown. Short oral presentations and poster communications offer the possibility to focus on new and original researches.

The aim of the conference is to gather together researchers, managers, manufacturer and decisionmakers with different background, to exchange ideas, to discuss problems and to develop new ideas and collaborations for finding solution to problems without compromising the natural eco-system for current and future generations.

Sponsors are also called to participate at this event to attract new customers, to promote new products and services, further the relationships with current customers.
