Thomas Leif analysiert das Strategiepapier der AfD-Führung vom Dezember 2016 „Demokratie wieder herstellen – Dem Volk die Staatsgewalt zurückgeben“. Seines Erachtens sagt es mehr über den Charakter der rechtspopulistischen Partei als die sorgfältig dosierten Programme. Die AfD setzt durchgehend auf eine Parallel-Kommunikation in der Öffentlichkeit. Einerseits nimmt sie „konservativ-liberale Positionen“ für sich in Anspruch, andererseits forciert oder toleriert sie hasserfüllte, rassistisch motivierte Attacken. Das zentrale Dokument zur politischen Praxis der AfD offenbart ein taktisches Verhältnis der Partei zur Wahrheit, obgleich sie mit dem Slogan „Mut zur Wahrheit“ operiert.
Abstract
Thomas Leif analyzes the strategy paper of the AfD leadership dated December 2016 – „Restoring democracy – giving state power back to the people“. The Result: It says more about the character of the right wing populist party than the carefully dosaged platforms. The AfD consistently employs a parallel mode of communication in public. On the one hand, it claims to stand for „conservative liberal positions“, on the other hand it supports or tolerates attacks motivated by hate and racism. The core document on the AfD’s political practice reveals a tactical relationship of the party to the truth, although it operates with the slogan „courage to tell the truth“.
