Language and Cognition is a venue for the publication of high quality peer-reviewed research of a theoretical and/or empirical/experimental nature, focusing on the interface between language and cognition. The journal features research from the full range of subject disciplines, theoretical backgrounds, and analytical frameworks that populate the language and cognitive sciences. Contributions cover a wide range of topics, including interdisciplinary methods of investigations in the linguistic and cognitive sciences, theories and models of language in the mind, gesture and communication, psycholinguistic processing, and neurolinguistics. Research published in the journal adopts an interdisciplinary, comparative, multi-methodological approach to the study of language and cognition and their intersection.
With effect from 2014, Language and Cognition is published by Cambridge University Press.
