Editorial

As we bring to a close Linguistics Vanguard Volume 3, we would like thank everyone who has contributed this year and express our appreciation for all who have taken part in this collaborative endeavor. We are pleased to publish individual papers in a wide range of subareas of linguistics as well as our second special collection “Towards a Multimodal Construction Grammar”. With several more special collections in the works and increasingly diverse submissions, we look forward to the continued growth and success of the journal in the coming year.

For their contribution to the journal, we thank first and foremost our Area Editors who carry out the day-to-day editorial work and ensure that papers are reviewed in a timely manner. Some of our Area Editors are finishing their work for the journal, and we would like to give them further thanks for their role as founding members of the editorial team. In this role, they contributed significantly to shaping the direction of the journal. We also look forward to welcoming new Area Editors in the coming year.

We also thank all of our authors for their contributions that are the heart and soul of the journal, the reviewers whose invisible work is of the utmost importance, and the readers who serve as our audience. We thank all of the members of the team at De Gruyter who have supported the journal and especially our editorial assistant Marie-Christine Benen. Finally, we offer our gratitude to Uri Tadmor who first conceived of the journal, brought the three of us together, and shepherded Linguistics Vanguard at every step during his time at De Gruyter.

We look forward to another exciting year bringing innovative, high-quality research to you in 2018.
