Abstract
Electron paramagnetic resonance of divalent Mn2+ ions in the Tutton salts M″M2′ (SO4)2·6 H2O, (M′ =Mg, Fe, Zn, Cd and M′ = Rb, Cs) and CdM2′(SO4)2·6 H2O, (M′ = K, NH4) single crystals has been studied at 298 K. The Mn2+ is found to substitute divalent cation sites. The spectra have been analysed using the spin-Hamiltonian appropriate for rhombic symmetry.
