Merkmale, Chancen und Ausblick auf industrielle Anwendungen

Compact Winding Process for the Manufacturing of Distributed Windings
Maximilian Halwas, Felix Wirth and Jürgen Fleischer

Abstract

Summary

Characteristics, Opportunities and Outlook on Industrial Applications. The further development of round wire winding processes to increase the performance of electric drives is an important research topic at the wbk Institute for Production Science at KIT. In this context, the novel compact winding process has been developed within the scope of previous work. In this paper, the process is defined and a first prototypical implementation of compact winding is presented. Furthermore, possible industrial applications and future perspectives are outlined.
