This fourth volume of the philosophical correspondence includes the period from 1701 to the end of 1707. In this time Leibniz advocates for his system of pre-stabilized harmony while also publishing his two principal major philosophical works, the Nouveaux essais and the Theodicée. It includes, among others, his correspondence with Bayle, Des Bosses, Hansch, Jaquelot, Lady Masham, Tolomei, and de Volder.
